We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give. — Winston Churchill
On September 25, the Philippines, particularly some parts of Luzon, were walloped by torrential rain and gale-force winds brought on by the landfall of super typhoon “Karding.” As the severity of this previously classified tropical cyclone intensifies, many communities have been largely devastated, resulting in the loss of properties, sources of income, and even lives.
As the nation endeavors to rise above these trying times, the Junior Tourism and Hospitality Management Association of the Philippines sends its heartfelt support and sympathy to the afflicted families, wishing them faith and courage in this challenge. We pray that you will be clothed with resiliency and fortitude in the face of adversity, and that you will find hope despite the darkest hours.
In light of this, the organization will conduct a charity campaign entitled “CentralRise: A Donation Drive.” All of the proceeds from this initiative will be bestowed to the devastated localities, hence none of this would be possible without your generous support. The JTHMAP warmly welcomes any amount of donation, which can be sent to the account details provided below. Please include the phrase “For Donation” in the message option for the facilitators’ identification. Rest assured that your support will be extended to the said beneficiaries.
Hand in hand, we will stand as one.
