This webinar will showcase how Philippine engineers and disaster scientists advocate, adapt, and advance the resilience of infrastructures in the country. Philippine structural engineering professionals and professors, together with their international partners, will share their programs, practices, and projects in promoting and implementing resilient infrastructures. A special lens on public school infrastructures will be discussed.
The webinar will feature frameworks, practices, and experiences in advocating infrastructure resilience of existing buildings in the Philippines. Speakers from the Association of Structural Engineers of the Philippines (ASEP) will share the DMPR Training Program which is being rolled out nationwide. This includes actual post-earthquake case studies and reports. The presentations will also include ongoing projects on the assessment and retrofit of school buildings in the country against earthquakes and floods.
