Dr. Kathleen G. Apilado, Vice Chairman, Board of Trustee, met with Chef Joshua Boutwood, the chef behind Helm in Makati, a restaurant recognized by the Michelin Guide for its creative, precise, and evolving dining experience. Helm also made history as the only restaurant in the Philippines to receive Two Michelin Stars in the inaugural Michelin Guide Philippines.
The meeting was held in support of the preservation of Asin Tedted, one of the traditional Philippine artisanal salts. Chef Joshuaโs support helps bring more attention to the craftsmanship, culture, and communities behind our indigenous salts, not just as ingredients, but as stories of tradition, identity, and resilience.
Through this advocacy, more people are reminded of the value of our local food heritage and the importance of preserving the treasures that carry the stories of our communities.
